6-8 March Conference, Exhibition & Workshops

Enhancing Multiplatform Content

The use of multiple devices to consume media is the norm in today’s world. Broadcasters and content developers need to understand this and take advantage by creating content suitable for consumption on these platforms and devices. Just as going digital is a must, content is still key for success in the current media market.
The theme of the 2018 ABU’s Digital Broadcasting Symposium is “Enhancing Multiplatform Content” which aims to address technologies and techniques essential to develop appropriate and engaging content required to target the changing behaviour and demand of audiences.

The 14th in this series, the DBS is an annual symposium staged by the ABU to support its members and other radio and television broadcasters and the media industry. It comprises of an international conference, focused workshops and an industry exhibition showcasing the latest technologies and services from around the world. It provides a platform to share expertise and experiences, network with like-minded colleagues, showcase and embrace advancing technologies and today’s content ideas and approach.

The symposium will feature conference sessions, panel discussions, focused workshops and masterclasses presented by well-known experts across the globe. They will address issues related to content development, distribution, technology implementation, the changing media business and future prospects for the media industry in the region and around the world. The industry exhibition will provide a one-stop showcase for the newest technologies and solutions currently available in the market. The event provides international and regional exposure to our members and the media industry alike.

The DBS2018 will take place from the 5th to 8th of March 2018 at the Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur.

We are delighted to invite all broadcasters, media practitioners and stakeholders to join us and benefit from this gathering of the media industry.
