The 1st ABU TV Song Festival

The ABU, in cooperation with the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) is organising the 1st ABU TV Song Festival (ATSF) on 14 October 2012 in conjunction with the 49th ABU General Assembly to be held in Seoul from 10-18 October.
The festival will bring together the best of Asia-Pacific’s top solo or group talents hailing from an array of national music scenes.
The ABU TV Song Festival will be a celebration of popular music featuring high-profile musical talents. The programme will showcase as many as 11 international musical acts representing ABU members, and will have a running time of two hours.
Participating organizations and their respective performers in the TV Song Festival are:

- KBS, South Korea - TVXQ
- MEDIACORP, Singapore - Taufik Batisah
- MTV, Sri Lanka - Arjuna & Shanika
- NHK, Japan - Perfume
- RTA, Afghanistan - Hamid Shakizada
- RTM, Malaysia - Hafiz
- SBS, Australia - Havana Brown
- TVB, Hong Kong - Alfred Hui
- TVRI, Indonesia - Maria Calista
- VTV, Vietnam - Le Viet Anh

NOTE: CAMERA AND ANY UNAUTHORISED RECORDING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
The ABU TV Song Festival will be a recorded TV broadcast. Tape of the recorded programme can be provided to interested parties.
Non-participating ABU member organisations or non-member organisations throughout the world may broadcast the ASTF programme, only after the Participating ABU Member Organisation in the same country/territory (if any) completes its initial broadcasting of ASTF programme, for a fee and agreement negotiated with the ABU, for all kinds of television broadcasting, including terrestrial, cable, and satellite, for non-downloadable live streaming on the internet transmitted simultaneously with such television broadcast, and also for the non-downloadable, live streaming, non-profit catch-up service online for 14 days after such telelvision broadcast, for one (1) year from the initial broadcasting, for two (2) runs, in its own country/territory.

About the ABU TV Song Festival
The ABU TV Song Festival will be a celebration of popular music featuring high-profile musical talents. It is not a competition among amateur musical talents. Participating member organisations will be required to provide a solo artist or musical group who enjoy mass appeal in their home country to be featured in the song festival. The programme will showcase as many as 12 international musical acts representing ABU members, and will have a running time of two hours.
