The ABU’s Public Affairs & Communications Division keeps its members informed through its weekly E newsletter and the ABU News magazine, published every quarter. Please get in  touch with us to receive these knowledge products.

ABU News is one of two quarterly magazines published by the Union. The other is the ABU Technical Review.

The magazine is sent free to members and affiliates, and is available to non-members for an annual subscription of US$45 including airmail postage.

Four times a year, the ABU News drops onto the desks of key decision- makers in the world of broadcasting, in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world, men and women running national broadcasters and commercial media organisations, people in the advertising, technology, IT and content provision sectors and politicians and government officials in media and communications ministries, departments and agencies in countries large and small.

ABU News is packed with news, opinion, commentary and analysis on the latest happenings in the ABU and its member organisations, as well as news and features about developments in broadcasting in the Asia-Pacific and around the globe.

As well as breaking news and thought-provoking articles, there are regular features on ongoing projects and initiatives, people coming and going and profiles on new member organisations as the ABU continues to grow.

Every quarter there are updates from on major developments affecting the Union and its members, together with reports on discussions held and decisions reached. There’s a Calendar of Events to keep everyone informed about what’s coming up in the months ahead.

The ABU News has a readership of more than 3,000 each quarter, and can be viewed online as well as downloaded to your Android device via our new App.

The Editor encourages anyone with a story to tell to contact the Publication Department, whether they’re a member, affiliate or just someone with an interest and expertise in broadcasting or related fields.

Both publications accept advertising, with reasonable rates for ads up to a whole page in full colour.
