Cambodia’s national television broadcaster, TVK, has signed an agreement with the country’s leading telecommunications company, Metfone, to work together on new services.

The agreement will see Metfone support TVK with telecommunications connections, the internet, TV digitalisation and digital transformation.

TVK will coordinate with Metfone to produce content and programmes to broadcast through Metfone’s digital channels, as well as supporting communication and promoting Metfone’s products via its channels.

Khim Vuthy, General Director of TVK, and Metfone General Director Cao Manh Duc met to sign the agreement on 16 December, Agence Kampuchea Press reports.

Metfone, owned by Viettel Cambodia, has been present in Cambodia since 2006. After 16 years of development, it has become Cambodia’s largest telecommunications and digital technology company, with nine million mobile subscribers accounting for 50 percent of the market share.
