Keys for a successful TV Production

The Producer is the connection between the story idea and the audience. Great production can make or break a movie or television series. This session focused on identifying the best techniques for success and ways to avoid the pitfalls of producing. 

This session was presented by Peter Herbert. Peter is currently the Head of Screen Business and Producing at Australia’s elite media university, Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) and has taught at several universities in screen business, creative industries and producing. He has been a writer, producer, and executive producer for many national and international companies, among them Crawford Productions, PBL Productions, Taffner Ramsay, Beyond International and Granada, Sky1 in the UK. Peter co-created, co- wrote and produced the BBC2 comedy series Dossa and Joe. Other credits include productions for Network and Foxtel, script editing on the Lindy Chamberlain mini-series Through My Eyes, and the feature Perfect Victim. He has led Screen Business Leadership programs for Infinite Studios in Singapore, Kantana Studios in Bangkok, and short courses in Seoul, Korea. AFTRS Producing and Screen Business Leadership graduates are working across Asia and Singapore. Peter has an impressive list of film and TV productions credits.
