Brief intro: Dan Sultan is one of Australian’s most beloved Indigenous singer-songwriters. Straddling genres from rock and roll to blues, gospel and even children’s music, his music explores life in modern Australia. He has won three ARIA Awards (and been nominated for 13), the highest honor for an Australian musician. He has won numerous Indigenous Music awards, appeared in iconic Australian films, and his records have topped ARIA charts and been certified Gold. He is been described as one of this country’s finest vocalists and guitarists. Dan Sultan continues to live up to his reputation as the songbird of our generation.
Brief intro: Na Ying (那英), born in Shenyang of Liaoning Province, is one of the singers who has achieved superstar status in music and entertainment scene in Chinese-speaking countries. After her debut in 1988, she has released a number of hit songs since the 90s, and has achieved fame not only in China itself but also in other Chinese-speaking countries. In 1997, a duet single “The Eastern Pearl (東方之珠)” with Andy Lau was released. She has made numerous appearances on CCTV’s New Year’s Gala, the most prominent entertainment program in China. In one of her performances at the Gala, she sang a duet with Faye Wong, which then garnered a lot of attention. She played leading roles in TV dramas and starred in movies in the 2000’s, which helped her to broaden her horizons into the entertainment field. At the 16th China Music Awards in 2012, she was granted a Chinese music award which is the most influential award in Asia. From 2013 to 2019, she has conducted a world tour, playing at 22 venues in countries including North America, Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Since 2012, she has been a coach in a highly-rated program “Voice of China”, and with her ability and amicable character, she has been enjoying great popularity nationwide.
Brief intro: Kay Tse is a popular Cantopop star in Hong Kong and Greater China. She is a recording artist and TV talent born and raised in Hong Kong. She made her music debut in 2005 and quickly became a prominent artiste in the entertainment media. Known for her remarkable vocal range and versatile genres of pop, rock, soul and jazz music, Kay enjoys huge success in her various albums, concerts and world tours, and has won many music awards in her singing career. Kay has been honored with the “Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons Award” in 2010. She is always working to develop glamour and diversity in her professional path.
Brief intro: A. R. Rahman is popularly known as the man who has redefined contemporary Indian music. Rahman, according to a BBC estimate, has sold more than 150 million copies of his work comprising of music from more than 100 film soundtracks and albums across over half a dozen languages, including landmark scores such as 'Roja', 'Bombay', Dil Se', 'Taal', 'Lagaan', ‘Vandemataram', 'Jodhaa Akbar', 'Slumdog Millionaire', '127 Hours' and countless more. Rahman pursued music as a career at a very young age and after assisting leading musicians in India went on to compose jingles and scores for popular Indian television features. He also obtained a degree in western classical music from the Trinity College of Music, London and set up his own in-house studio called Panchathan Record-Inn at Chennai. In 1991, noted film maker Mani Ratnam offered Rahman a movie called Roja which was a run-away success and brought nationwide fame and acclaim to the composer. The movie also won Rahman the Indian National Award for the best music composer, the first time ever by a debutant. In 2008, Rahman's work gained global prominence with the extraordinary success of his score for 'Slumdog Millionaire' that won 8 Academy Awards including two for Rahman, for Best Score and Best Song. Rahman won over 15 awards for this score including two Grammys, the Golden Globe and the BAFTA. Rahman, marked his entry as a writer and producer of 99 Songs, his maiden film venture and is the writer and director of the Cinematic sensory project, Le Musk.
Brief intro: Hanin Dhiya started her career since she was 13 years old, by winning the runner-up position for the popular Indonesian reality talent search show, Rising Star 1 (2014). Her achievement got her signed as a singer under the international major label, Warner Music Indonesia – who now released one full album and lots of popular singles.
Brief intro: Formed in 2007, Hey! Say! JUMP is an idol group comprised of Ryosuke Yamada, Yuri Chinen, Yuto Nakajima, Daiki Arioka, Takaki Yuya, Kei Inoo, Hikaru Yaotome, and Kota Yabu. In November of the same year, they made a debut with a single “Ultra Music Power,” which ranked top on the Oricon Chart. Until today, they have released numerous smash hit songs, including “Shinken Sunshine”, “Over the Top”, and “Mayonaka no Shadow Boy”, which all of the releases have topped the weekly charts. They made their first appearance on “The 68th NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red & White Year-end Song Festival” in December, 2017. This October, a new album “PARADE” is set to be released. From this November to January of 2020, they will be playing concerts at dome stadiums in Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Fukuoka, for a Japan tour titled “Hey! Say! JUMP DOME TOUR 2019 - 2020 PARADE”.
Brief intro: Dimash Kudaibergen is a Kazakh singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is university trained in classical as well as in contemporary music and is known for his wide vocal range. Kudaibergen has performed songs in twelve different languages,his native language Kazakh, Russian, Mandarin, English, French, Italian, Ukrainian, Turkish, Serbian, Kyrgyz, German, and Spanish.
Brief intro: TWICE is a K-Pop girl group produced by JYP Entertainment through the reality program [SIXTEEN]. The group is composed of 9 members: NAYEON, JEONGYEON, MOMO, SANA, JIHYO, MINA, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG, and TZUYU. Debuted on October 20th, 2015 with the 1st EP [THE STORY BEGINS] that featured the title track “Like OOH-AHH”, the group then achieved bigger fame in 2016 with the 2nd EP [PAGE TWO] that featured “CHEER UP.” Since then, the group has won several big awards with TWICE’s own music style 'color pop' and continued to release the unique bright, energetic and catchy songs: “TT”, “KNOCK KNOCK”, “SIGNAL”, “LIKEY”, “Heart Shaker”, "What is Love?", "Dance The Night Away", "YES or YES","The Best Thing I Ever Did" and "FANCY". Brief intro: Adelino Da Silva is a singer-songwriter and actor active in Macau. He won the “Best of the Pop” pop song contest hosted by TDM in 2012 & 2019, the Golden Award song “Leave Again” is written and sung by him. And he was the youngest Golden Award winner in the contest.
