CNNIndonesia.com goes live

The digital element of the partnership between international news broadcaster CNN and Indonesian media corporation PT Transmedia, has gone live.

While the accompanying television channel, CNN Indonesia TV, is to commence broadcasting next year, the newly-launched website provides both local and international news in Bahasa Indonesia for a regional and global audience.

One component of CNNIndonesia.com, called Fokus, will cover important events affecting Indonesians with analysis, opinion and special reports from investigative journalists and key Indonesians, RapidTVNews reports.

“The website will uphold and promote CNN’s highest level of journalistic standards of accuracy, credibility and valued news judgment. Whether you access news via the website or TV channel, CNN Indonesia will become the country’s leading news organisation available on any platform,” said Chairul Tanjung, founder and chairman of Transmedia’s parent company, CT Corp.
