Mediacorp has strengthened its growing presence in the podcasting space with six wins at the Asia Podcast Awards 2026, held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
The recognition spanned a diverse range of genres and formats, highlighting the breadth of storytelling across Mediacorp’s podcasts, digital audio content and established radio brands.
Heinous – An Asian True Crime Podcast, produced by Mediacorp and 1Up Media, took home two honours, winning Best Crime Podcast as well as the 2026 RØDE Prize.
CNA’s Age of Anxiety was named Best Health and Wellness Podcast, while YES 933’s Progress Reports received the award for Best Fictional Podcast. RIA 897’s MJ12 Gerun Malam was also recognised, winning Best Radio Show Podcast.
The awards also celebrated the people driving innovation behind the scenes. CNA senior producer Junaini Johari was named Podcast Thought Leader/Innovator of the Year in recognition of her contribution to advancing podcasting and audio storytelling. The six wins reflect Mediacorp’s continued expansion beyond traditional broadcasting as its audio brands increasingly bring their storytelling to audiences through podcasts and on-demand formats.
The achievement further demonstrates how established broadcasters can evolve their content for changing audience habits while continuing to invest in creative and engaging storytelling across multiple platforms.
