JSC Khabar Agency has appointed Lyazzat Tanysbay as Chair of its Management Board, bringing an experienced media leader with more than three decades in Kazakhstan’s television industry to the helm of the organisation.
Tanysbay has held a number of senior leadership positions across Kazakhstan’s media landscape. Her career has included leading Astana TV, NUR-Media Holding, Kazakhstan Republican Television and Radio Corporation, and Eurasia TV. She has also served in Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Communications and Information.
Her connection with Khabar stretches back to the agency’s early years. From 1996 to 2002, she worked at Khabar as a news editor and presenter before going on to hold senior positions across the country’s broadcasting and media sector.
In her new role, Tanysbay will oversee the continued development and modernisation of Khabar Agency’s key areas of operation. A particular focus will be strengthening 24KZ and its position as one of Kazakhstan’s leading socio-political television channels.
Her appointment marks a new chapter for Khabar Agency as it continues to build on its established strengths while adapting its operations to the evolving media landscape.
Tanysbay succeeds Kemelbek Oishybayev, who has stepped down from the position.
