Egypt’s National Media Authority (NMA) and United Media Services (UMS) are looking to deepen cooperation as part of efforts to strengthen the country’s media industry and enhance its global competitiveness.
NMA Chairman Ahmed Al-Muslimani met with United Media Services Chairman and Managing Director Seif El-Waziri at UMS headquarters, where discussions focused on expanding collaboration and integration between Maspero and UMS across a range of areas.
The meeting explored opportunities for new joint activities, as well as greater exchange of expertise and resources between the two organisations. Both sides highlighted the importance of building on their existing relationship to develop high-quality media content that responds to changing industry trends and audience expectations.
The discussions also reflected a shared ambition to strengthen the influence and competitiveness of Egyptian media, while supporting its role in promoting the country’s culture and presence internationally.
Al-Muslimani praised the contribution of United Media Services to Egypt’s evolving media landscape and its initiatives to support the development of the sector. The meeting followed the recent formation of a new UMS Board of Directors under El-Waziri, with the organisation setting out its priorities for its next phase of development.
Greater collaboration between NMA and UMS is expected to create further opportunities for knowledge-sharing, resource development and joint initiatives as both organisations work to support the continued growth of Egypt’s media industry.
