Indonesia’s public broadcaster TVRI is partnering with RANS Entertainment to bring the 2026 Asian Games to audiences across Indonesia free of charge, ensuring millions of viewers can follow the country’s athletes as they compete in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.

The 20th Asian Games will take place from 19 September to 4 October, with Indonesia sending 432 athletes across 35 sports.

Through the collaboration, coverage will be available through TVRI’s national television network, complemented by digital distribution from RANS Entertainment. TVRI’s terrestrial network currently reaches more than 77 per cent of Indonesia, helping make the Games accessible to communities where internet connectivity may be limited.

TVRI President Director Tubagus Fiki Chikara Satari said the partnership provides an opportunity for the broadcaster to ensure Indonesian athletes receive support from audiences across the country.

Beyond live competition, TVRI plans to tell the stories behind the athletes and their journey to the Games. Special programmes and news features will follow their preparations, departure for Japan and experiences throughout the competition, giving audiences a closer look at the dedication behind their performances.

The broadcaster hopes these stories will not only strengthen public support for the national contingent but also inspire the next generation of Indonesian athletes. TVRI will draw on its recent experience as an official broadcaster of the 2026 FIFA World Cup as it works to further strengthen the quality of its Asian Games coverage.

By combining TVRI’s extensive free-to-air reach with RANS Entertainment’s digital platforms, the partnership aims to make the Asian Games a shared national experience, connecting Indonesians from across the archipelago with their athletes competing on one of Asia’s biggest sporting stages.
