Radio Television Brunei (RTB) continued its longstanding commitment to nurturing local talent with the successful conclusion of Bintang Harmoni 2026, a singing competition that has been part of Brunei’s entertainment landscape for more than six decades.

Held at the International Convention Centre in Berakas on 17 October 2026, the grand finale brought together ten contestants competing for the coveted championship title.

Naz Asri emerged as the winner with a performance of *Bahagiamu, Deritaku*, securing a cash prize of BND2,000, a trophy and additional prizes. Naz Asri also received the Best Performance Award, recognising an outstanding performance during the competition.

Hamizan claimed second place with *Awan Yang Terpilu*, receiving BND1,500, while Nurul Mustapha finished third with *Tiada Aku Mengerti*, taking home BND1,000. Both finalists also received trophies and additional prizes.

The awards were presented by Awang Ajman bin Haji Meludin, Permanent Secretary (Public Service Governance) at the Prime Minister’s Office. The event was also attended by RTB Acting Director Awang Cheong Chee Keong, senior RTB officials, sponsors and members of the public.

Originally introduced in 1960 as Bintang Radio, the competition has evolved into Bintang Harmoni while retaining its original purpose of discovering, developing and celebrating Brunei’s homegrown musical talent.

Through initiatives such as Bintang Harmoni, RTB continues to provide aspiring performers with opportunities to showcase their abilities, contributing to the development of Brunei’s creative industry and the preservation of its musical heritage.
