Vietnam Television (VTV) has introduced a new digital authentication feature on its VTVgo streaming platform, allowing viewers to sign in using Vietnam’s national electronic identification system, VNeID.
Launched on 23 October 2026, the integration simplifies account access by enabling users to authenticate their identities without managing multiple usernames and passwords. The development also aims to strengthen information security and improve the overall viewing experience.
The enhanced login system supports VTVgo’s growing interactive features, allowing audiences to engage more actively with television content through comments and other digital interactions.
By incorporating verified user authentication, VTV also hopes to gain a better understanding of audience interests and preferences, creating opportunities to recommend programmes tailored to different viewer groups. The integration required coordination between the two national digital platforms to meet data compatibility, privacy and information security requirements.
The initiative marks another step in VTV’s digital transformation strategy as the broadcaster continues developing VTVgo into a more accessible, interactive and personalised national television platform.
