Mr Hamid D Nayeri of IRIB-Iran has been re-elected Chairman of the ABU Technical Bureau for a further two-year term.

The election took place at the Technical Committee Meeting on 16 November. Mr Nayeri has been Chairman since 2018.

Mr Sunil of DD-India and Mr Masashi Kamei of NHK-Japan were re-elected as Vice-Chairmen of the Bureau and Mr Kazim Pektas of TRT-Turkey was elected Vice-Chairman for the first time.

There are four newly elected members of the Bureau: WALESI-Fiji, NTV-Nepal, PTNI-Philippines and VOV-Vietnam.

They join NRTA-China, TVB-Hong Kong China, Phoenix TV-Hong Kong China, RRI-Indonesia, DD-India, IRIB-Iran, KBS-Korea, RTM-Malaysia, NHK-Japan, Mediacorp-Singapore, MTV-Sri Lanka, NBT-Thailand, TRT-Turkey and VTV-Vietnam on the 18-member Bureau.
