BBS Invites New Reality Show Proposals Under Enhanced Transparency

3 Jun 2026

Bhutan Broadcasting Service Corporation Limited (BBSCL) has launched a new Expression of Interest (EoI) process inviting individuals and production companies to develop and produce reality television programmes for the 2026–2027 season.

The initiative is part of BBSCL’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, fairness, and quality within its reality television programming. The broadcaster noted that the revised framework was introduced following public concerns over previous programme selection processes and voting systems.

Under the new arrangement, successful organisers will be awarded the opportunity to produce two seasons of their programme, with each season comprising between 10 and 18 episodes. BBSCL said the approach is designed to encourage innovation, improve production standards, and create more opportunities for emerging producers and creative talent.

The broadcaster added that the initiative supports its broader commitment to promoting Bhutanese talent and delivering high-quality, locally relevant entertainment to audiences across the country.
