Maldives Public Service Media Strengthens Public Engagement Through Ahaa Forum

14 Oct 2026

Public Service Media (PSM) of the Maldives has continued its collaboration with the President’s Office through the ninth session of the Ahaa Forum, an interactive public engagement programme designed to connect citizens directly with government representatives.

Held on 11 October at Sultan Park, the forum brought together ministers responsible for health, tourism and culture to address public concerns and provide updates on government policies and initiatives.

The two-hour programme was broadcast live, allowing audiences to follow the discussions while members of the public participated in person and submitted questions digitally through the PSM Air app. The interactive format combined traditional broadcasting with digital audience participation, providing an additional channel for citizens to raise questions and engage with public officials.

Introduced in 2024, the Ahaa Forum has developed into a recurring platform for public dialogue, with PSM playing a role in making these discussions accessible to audiences across the Maldives. Through its involvement, PSM continues to demonstrate how public-service broadcasting and digital platforms can support audience engagement and access to information.
