Media Niugini and APAEA Partner on New Business Leadership Programme

7 Oct 2026

Media Niugini Limited (MNL), through EMTV, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Asia Pacific Applied Economics Association (APAEA) to produce a new television programme focused on business leadership.

The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, marking the beginning of a collaboration aimed at strengthening conversations around leadership, governance and economic development in Papua New Guinea and the wider region.

Under the agreement, the two organisations will produce a 12-episode Business Leadership Programme over one year, with the series set to be broadcast across the Pacific region and parts of Asia.

EMTV Chief Executive Officer Silas Matoli said the partnership will introduce an additional programme to the broadcaster’s television offering while creating a platform for discussions around business and leadership.

APAEA founder Professor Paresh Kumar Narayan said the programme will explore issues facing businesses in Pacific Island countries, including governance, ethics, policy and regulation.

The series will also highlight successful business stories, providing a platform to motivate and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs while encouraging stronger leadership and business capabilities across the region.

The partnership aims to use television’s reach to connect knowledge with communities and encourage wider conversations around leadership, innovation and sustainable economic development.
