PTV Calls for Stronger Pakistan–China Media Collaboration and Joint Productions

21 Oct 2026

Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) has highlighted opportunities to strengthen broadcasting cooperation with China Media Group (CMG), including the development of joint documentaries and collaborative media projects.

Speaking during an interview with CGTN Urdu’s Top View programme, PTV Managing Director and Federal Secretary for Information and Broadcasting Ashfaq Ahmad Khalil emphasised the importance of translating existing agreements between Pakistani and Chinese media organisations into practical initiatives.

He identified documentary production, cultural exchanges and coordinated communication as areas where the two countries could expand their collaboration.

Khalil also underscored the growing importance of digital media in providing reliable information and countering misinformation. He noted that broadcasters have an important role in strengthening mutual understanding and bringing audiences from different countries closer together.

The discussion highlights PTV’s interest in developing international broadcasting partnerships and exploring opportunities for collaborative content production. No new agreement or production launch was announced.
