29 Sep 2026

Qatar Media Corporation (QMC) has won six silver awards at the 26th Arab Radio and Television Festival in Tunisia, recognising a range of productions from Qatar TV and Qatar Radio.

Qatar TV secured four awards across several categories, including two linked to programme exchange. Its documentary  Souq Waqif: A Renewed Memory was among the productions recognised, alongside the channel’s television programme exchange planning department.

The channel also received silver awards for the comedy series Maradi and Dahham 3 and the documentary Gaza: The Nightmare – Part Two, which was entered in the category for television films and documentaries addressing the Palestinian cause. Qatar Radio added another two silver awards to QMC’s tally. One recognised its contribution to radio programme exchanges among member states, while its programme *A Simple Difference* received an award in the sports programmes category.

The six awards highlight QMC’s work across a diverse range of genres, from documentaries and entertainment to sports programming, as well as its contribution to content exchange and cooperation among broadcasters.

Organised by the Arab States Broadcasting Union (ASBU), the annual Arab Radio and Television Festival brings together broadcasting organisations from across the Arab region to recognise outstanding media productions while encouraging creativity, professional exchange and cooperation.

QMC’s success at this year’s festival reflects the breadth of its television and radio output and its continued presence within the regional broadcasting community
