Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) has launched a nationwide training initiative aimed at developing the next generation of broadcasting professionals across Pakistan. As part of the initiative, a two-day workshop began at Radio Pakistan Multan on 30 September, bringing together young comperes, radio jockeys, newsreaders and interns for practical training in professional broadcasting.
The training series will be conducted at Radio Pakistan stations across the country, providing young people with hands-on exposure to broadcasting while helping them develop modern communication and media skills. Participants are receiving training in areas including presentation, voice modulation, news reading, radio jockeying and responsible communication, with an emphasis on professional standards and contemporary broadcasting techniques.
PBC Director General Saeed Ahmed Shaikh said the initiative is designed to identify and nurture emerging talent while preparing young broadcasters for the evolving demands of the modern media industry. The programme also builds on Radio Pakistan’s longstanding role in developing broadcasting talent, opening its professional platforms to aspiring media practitioners and giving them opportunities to learn directly from experienced industry professionals.
