Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) is preparing to review its budget structure as part of efforts to ensure that its programmes and services deliver a greater impact for the public.
RRI Director General Hendrasmo said the review will focus on improving the effectiveness of the public broadcaster’s spending and ensuring that its resources are directed towards initiatives that provide meaningful benefits to communities.
The move forms part of RRI’s broader efforts to strengthen its role as a public service broadcaster while continuing to respond to the changing needs of audiences. RRI is also looking at ways to further develop journalism competency and support initiatives that encourage greater public participation in the media. Among the areas highlighted are efforts to strengthen journalism training and develop citizen journalism, creating more opportunities for communities to contribute to the information ecosystem while supporting the delivery of credible and relevant content.
Through these initiatives, RRI aims to enhance the impact of its services and reinforce its position as a trusted public broadcaster that remains closely connected to the communities it serves.
