RRI Sets Its Sights on Digital Transformation with New Supervisory Board

14 Oct 2026

Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) is preparing for a new phase of organisational development following the selection of five members to its Supervisory Board for the 2026–2031 term, with digital transformation, stronger governance and public trust among its key priorities.

Indonesia’s House of Representatives approved the five members on 8 October 2026, following a selection process conducted by Commission VII that involved assessments of 15 candidates. The five selected members are Soleman Yusuf, Bara Ilyasa, Widiarsi Agustina, Mohamad Reza and Margaretta Fajar Kurnia Putri, representing RRI, the public and government sectors.

Among the priorities outlined by the incoming board is a long-term transformation roadmap aimed at making RRI a more adaptive, innovative and data-driven public broadcaster. The roadmap is structured around four phases, beginning with governance reforms in 2026–2027, followed by the digitalisation of monitoring, reporting and performance measurement systems in 2028–2029.

The third phase, scheduled for 2030, will focus on strengthening collaboration with audiences, academic institutions, communities, industry stakeholders and regulators. By 2031, the emphasis will shift towards establishing a sustainable and integrated oversight framework that delivers greater public value.

Supervisory Board member Soleman Yusuf highlighted the importance of ensuring RRI remains relevant and trusted as the broadcasting landscape continues to evolve, with stronger accountability and technology-driven management forming part of its future direction.

The new board is expected to play an important role in guiding RRI’s organisational development and strengthening its position as Indonesia’s national public radio broadcaster over the next five years.
