Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) and the Thai Public Broadcasting Service (Thai PBS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at deepening cooperation between the two public broadcasters and strengthening media collaboration across the Asia-Pacific region.

The agreement, signed in Bangkok by RTHK Director of Broadcasting Angelina Kwan and Thai PBS President Vanchai Tantivitayapitak, establishes a framework for cooperation in areas including news and current affairs programming, cultural and educational content production, professional exchanges, and staff development.

Both organisations highlighted the importance of public service media in fostering informed communities and promoting cultural understanding in an increasingly interconnected media landscape. The partnership is also expected to create opportunities for content sharing, joint productions, and knowledge exchange between the two broadcasters.

The agreement reflects a growing trend among public broadcasters in the region to strengthen partnerships, enhance audience engagement, and collaborate on content that addresses shared social, cultural, and media challenges.
