Cambodia’s National Television (TVK) has been selected to provide live broadcast coverage of the opening session of the Cambodia–Thailand Conciliation Commission meeting in Siem Reap, giving audiences access to proceedings surrounding the bilateral discussions.

The meeting, scheduled for 21 September 2026, forms part of the conciliation process under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), involving representatives from Cambodia and Thailand.

According to Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, TVK will provide the official live television feed for the opening session. Other television stations and media organisations will be able to use TVK’s feed to rebroadcast the proceedings to their respective audiences.

The arrangement gives TVK a central role in the media coverage of the meeting, serving as the primary broadcast source for the opening proceedings and facilitating wider access for broadcasters and audiences. The coverage also reflects the important role of national broadcasters in providing timely public access to significant regional and diplomatic events, particularly those involving issues of public and international interest.

Through the live broadcast, TVK will help ensure that the opening of the meeting reaches audiences both within Cambodia and through other media organisations carrying its feed.
