Televisi Republik Indonesia (TVRI) welcomed students from the National University (UNAS) to its Jakarta headquarters for an immersive learning experience on political news production. The visit provided students with a behind-the-scenes look at the broadcaster’s editorial and production processes, offering valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a national public broadcaster.
During the visit, students toured TVRI’s newsroom and production studios, where they observed how political news is planned, verified, produced and broadcast. TVRI journalists and production teams shared their expertise on editorial decision-making, newsroom workflows and the importance of maintaining accuracy, impartiality and public trust in news reporting.
The initiative reflects TVRI’s continued commitment to supporting media education and developing the next generation of journalists by providing students with practical exposure to professional broadcasting practices and public service journalism.
