Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has enhanced its digital security measures to safeguard its exclusive broadcasting rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026 and ensure uninterrupted access for viewers across the country.

The broadcaster announced that additional protections have been implemented on its RTMKlik streaming platform to prevent unauthorised access from outside Malaysia and to comply with FIFA’s licensing requirements. The move is aimed at protecting the value of its broadcast rights while maintaining a stable and secure viewing experience for local audiences.

RTM said it continues to monitor its digital platforms closely as demand for World Cup coverage grows, with the broadcaster committed to delivering comprehensive tournament coverage through both its television and online services.
