Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has officially ended the broadcast of its retro television channel, TV6, effective 1 July 2026.

Launched as a trial service in March 2021, TV6 was dedicated to showcasing classic programmes from RTM’s archives, including dramas, films, cartoons, documentaries, entertainment shows, and other nostalgic content from previous decades.

RTM announced the closure through an official notice but has not provided further details regarding the decision. The conclusion of TV6’s broadcasts marks the end of a channel that celebrated Malaysia’s television heritage by bringing archival content to a new generation of viewers.
