HUM Network (formerly Eye Television Network Limited), launched its channel, HUM TV, on 17 January 2005. HUM TV shows international-quality programming, including highlypopular Pakistani dramas. Numerous surveys show that it is Pakistan’s top general entertainment channel.
HUM Network’s second venture, Masala, is the first 24-hour food channel in South Asia dedicated to cuisine. In 2009, the network introduced Style360, the first complete lifestyle channel of its kind in the country. Last year, Style360 was converted into the hybrid channel HUM2, which features popular HUM plays as well as lifestyle and fashion shows from style360.
In March 2010, HUM TV and Masala began broadcasting in all 50 US states through Dish Network LLC, one of the largest DTH operators in the United States. The channels are part of the basic Urdu package, PAK Mega Pack. In Australia and New Zealand’s closed internet protocol television distribution network, FetchTV, all three channels are available in the Urdu pack and Masala is also available in the Hindi Pack. Masala and Style360 also show in the UAE on e-Vision. Canada, Gulf countries and African regions are also expected to carry the channels soon.
HUM Network Ltd publishes Masala TV Food Mag, the bestselling magazine in the country, and G.L.A.M, Pakistan’s premier lifestyle and fashion magazine.
HUM Network is the first television channel in South Asia with a female president and chairperson of the board. HUM Network’s team consists of television industry veterans and a young, vibrant staff.
The network is listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange.
