K-Force Radio Station is a national Free-To-Air radio channel also known as Friends FM in South Korea. Since its creation in 1978, it operates under the Ministry of Defence which also runs a TV channel, a Public Relations Organisation, a Cinema Production Unit, a Military Newspaper and a Media Agency.
Their target audience is specific. They are the military forces and those people who are interested in military life as well as families who have a close relative in the army. KFRS broadcasts 18 hours of programmes which they produce themselves and 6 hours of Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) programmes.
Some of their best and most popular programmes are: ‘It’s a Good Day’, ‘Love and Happiness’, ‘Together with the People and Soldiers’ and ‘Cheer Up! TheYoung Soldiers’.
