Mongolian National Public Radio and Television (MNB) is the oldest broadcasting organization in Mongolia as well as the only public service broadcaster in the country. MNB’s mission is to be the leading professional media organization in Mongolia, charged with the responsibility to provide unbiased information throughout the entire territory of the country (1,566,500 sq.km), and to serve and promote national culture and identity.
Today MNB is available in over 1.8 million households in Mongolia which accounts for over 90 percent of the entire population.
As part of its mission to serve the public, MNB has launched its second television channel MN-2 in 2011 dedicated to ethnic and language minorities living in Mongolia. The channel is committed to promoting national cultural heritage, history, customs and traditions, folk songs, traditional music and arts.
At present, MNB broadcasts its programmes on three radio and two television channels informing, educating and entertaining Mongolian audiences. Our programmes focus on the culture, education, science, economy of Mongolia as well as international affairs, protection of historical and cultural heritage and environment. Also national script education is a particular goal of the public television organization.
