NHK Integrated Technology Inc (NHK ITEC) was established on 23 July 1969 as one of NHK’s (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) affiliate organisations. It serves domestic and foreign clients, and plays a pivotal role in the international broadcast industry.
Since 1975, NHK ITEC has been engaged in and has successfully completed over 87 ODA (the Japanese government’s official development assistance) broadcasting projects in about 48 developing countries in Asia, Africa, Oceania, and Latin America. These varied development projects under Japanese government sponsorship range from the rehabilitation of a radio studio to a large-scale construction of a radio-television studio complex.
The company’s activities include feasibility studies for development projects, basic systems and facilities design, testing and commissioning of broadcasting facilities and systems, and the development of broadcasting technology. The organisation has 769 employees.
