Community Radio Naf 99.2 FM is a community-based Radio Station in Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazila of Cox’s Bazar District, Bangladesh, established in 2012. Radio NAF is operated by Alliance for Cooperation and Legal Aid Bangladesh-ACLAB and broadcasting radio program for the local and Rohingya community of Teknaf and Ukhiya Upazila for their social, economic, cultural, language development. The objective of Radio Naf is to empowering the marginalized people particularly women and youth ensuring their right access to information and technology and to achieve SDG, with the assistance of development partners and community people. Radio Naf broadcast radio program in two approaches-on-air and off-air. Off-air programs are conducting through awareness session, courtyard meeting, and capacity building training for improving their knowledge, attitude and practice. Radio Naf’s approximately coverage 45Km from Rohingya and Host community. Radio Naf have listener groups and broadcasting programs on DRR, GBV, health & nutrition, wash, agriculture, education, culture, entertainment, sports, bio-diversity & environment & climate change adaptation, early marriage, protection, human rights, social peace, harmony and resilience, ethnic language and cultural diversity. The radio program develops in form of a magazine, live broadcast, drama, expert interview, local song, vox-pop, news mostly in the local language. It also distributes radio sets and does off-air community-based programs with the engagement of its listener group members and volunteers.
