14th Copyright Meeting and Seminar

The 14th ABU Copyright Committee Meeting and Seminar was held from 16-18 April 2008 in Istanbul, Turkey. The three-day event was hosted by the Turkish Radio-Television Corporation (TRT).

There were important discussions on the ABU Strategy and Action Plan towards a broadcasters’ treaty, and on enacting Anti-siphoning Laws to ensure that key sporting events such as the Olympic Games remained on free-to-air television.
