Intellectual Property and Legal Committee Meeting and Forum

ABU Intellectual Property & Legal Committee Meeting and Forum

The 23rd ABU Intellectual Property & Legal Committee Meeting and Forum will take place in 2017 hosted by our full member Islamic Republic Iran Broadcasting (IRIB).  Dates for the event have not been finalised yet.

The ABU Intellectual Property and Legal Committee (ABU-IPLC) meets annually to discuss, share, analyse and inform its members on intellectual property rights, including copyright, broadcasting rights, piracy, and various other related issues and case studies from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

Experts from this field also gather to advise members on the changing trends in the broadcasting industry and on how to protect their rights. Those expected to attend are the officers, representatives and members working in the legal or copyright departments of their respective organisations.

The Meeting is open only to Full, Additional Full and Associate members, and the Forum is open to all members, including stakeholders in the host country, with the permission of the Chairman.

Participation at this event is normally high in demand and seats are allocated on a first come first serve basis. Early registration is highly recommended.
