TVNZ launches online comedy

Wednesday 05 Oct 2011
New Zealand’s public broadcaster TVNZ has launched its newest digital-only series, Auckland Daze.

Auckland Daze

Airing on 27 October, Auckland Daze follows the success of TVNZ’s Emmy-Award winning digital-only series Reservoir Hill.

Auckland Daze takes the interactive experience that made Reservoir Hill a success to the next level. After the episode, the audience will be prompted to say what they think. Filmed weekly, suggestions from viewers will influence the plot of the next episode.

Screening on TVNZ Ondemand, Auckland Daze will also be embedded into Facebook where viewers will be able to watch, “like” and share the episodes with their friends without having to leave their Facebook profile.

The series is a spoof comedy that follows four hapless wannabes – a model, a stuntman, a dwarf entertainer and a stand-up comedian who are all chasing fame in Auckland’s ridiculously small entertainment industry.
