CCTV Africa and “I LOVE AFRICA” Mobile TV officially launched in Kenya

China Central Television has officially launched CCTV Africa, a news productions centre based in Kenya, www.cntv.cn reports.

CCTV Africa will initially produce a one-hour program daily to be broadcast through CCTV’s English news channel.

The programme, which will cover the political, economic, social and cultural aspects in the entire African region, will focus on news but will also feature interviews with leading newsmakers and documentaries.

Meanwhile, the CCTV also launched the mobile TV application “I LOVE AFRICA” after 6 months of trial broadcast.

Designed as a brand new platform for Africans to learn more about China and the world, “I LOVE AFRICA” allows viewers in Africa to watch documentaries, educational programs, TV dramas and films through mobile terminal devices.
