MCOT selects Aspera Mobile for remote news gathering

MCOT’s Thai News Agency has selected and implemented Aspera’s mobile data transfer solution for Apple iOS and Google Android, asperasoft.com reports.

Aspera Mobile platform provides high-speed file transfer over mobile networks and enables reporters to use an Aspera-enabled mobile app to upload high-resolution images and video straight from their iOS or Android device.

“Aspera’s flexible software architecture and straightforward APIs have made it possible for us to have the Web portal created exactly to our specifications,” said Mr.Phairach Santhawe, news technology manager at Thai News Agency.

With broad operating support for iOS and Android, both entities are seeing strong demand throughout Asia Pacific markets, including Thailand, South East Asia, Japan, Korea and Australia.
