CASBAA sets sights on India beyond digital TV

Issues affecting multichannel television in India, particularly in the run up to mandatory cable TV digitisation, are to be addressed at the CASBAA India Forum in New Delhi on 20 March, rapidtvnews reports.

“Recognising the capacity for massive growth tempered by regulatory and logistical challenges, CASBAA continues to focus its attention on the multichannel TV industry in India,” said Simon Twiston Davies, chief executive, CASBAA.

Keynote speeches and panel discussions will be given by senior officials from the Indian government, Uday K Varma (secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting), JS Sarma (chairman, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India) and Supriya Sahu (joint secretary (Broadcast & Policy), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting).

The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) India Forum 2102: Beyond Digital will be held at the Shangri-La Hotel, New Delhi.
