Al Jazeera Sport prepares Be in Sport 1 & 2’s French launch

Al-Jazeera Sport is preparing the French launch of its pay-TV sport channels Be in Sport 1 and Be in Sport 2.

The Qatar group has launched a call for bids to find the advertising unit that will sell the two channels’ ad space over the next three years.

Stratégies trade magazine has revealed that the ad services of France Télévisions, Lagardère, TF1 and Amaury are competing for the account. The channels will target men in the 25-49 demographic.

All the bidders are already handling a large portfolio of theme channels and/or have specific expertise into sports. Al-Jazeera has previously selected Spanish operator MediaPro to handle the technical workflow.
