Germany to get new TV channel

A new commercial TV channel is being prepared in German federal state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: MV-TV wants to report about tourism, cultural, sports, history and health topics.

Local media authority Medienanstalt Mecklenburg-Vorpommern granted Rostock-based operating company Juni Media a broadcast licence for the TV channel in the area of entertainment valid for 10 years.

According to rapidtvnews.com the channel aims for digital cable carriage throughout Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The launch date has not yet been announced.
