ACORAB Appoints New Executive Director

Association of Community Radio Broadcasters Nepal (ACORAB) appointed Mr. Rabindra Bhattarai as its new Executive Director.

According to the President of ACORAB Mr Min Bahadur Shahi, Mr Bhattarai has had involvement with various institutions in project implementation and management. He has worked as Project Director in Kathmandu School of Law, National Legal Aid Network and Nepal Bar Association.

Mr. Rabindra Bhattarai is responsible for leading, supervising and monitoring the implementation of institutional operations of the association and its projects. He will remain as focal person for institutional communications with regard to strategic implementation.

On appointing Mr Ghattarai to the post, President Shahi commented that ACORAB is looking forward to “exploiting his experience and expertise in best interest of community radios of Nepal”. 

Mr. Bhattarai has a social sciences background and a good knowledge of law. He has considerable understanding of human rights, development and media, with the right to information and accessing public service by deprived communities being his special interest.
