ABU to support MBC Maldives in its restructuring and HR Development

A delegation from the Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) visited the ABU  headquarters to discuss possible assistance from the Union in their aim to restructure the MBC and enhance human resource development with the view to making Maldives radio and television a viable public service broadcaster. 

Mr Ibrahim Umar Manik, Chairman of the Board  of the MBC, Mr Ali Shamaan, MBC Board Member and the Managing Director of the Corporation Mr Mohamed Shafeeg Mahmood  met with the Secretary- General Dr Mottaghi  regarding the capacity of the ABU to assist in the development of the MBC.

In the next few months the ABU will offer to MBC advisory services in Management, Human Resource Development and Technology as well as training for the Newsroom and Programming departments.
