Workshop on Management gets underway in the Maldives

 

     

The in-country Workshop on “Management: 21st Century Norms and Decision Making Process”, organized jointly by the ABU, Maldives Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Villa Television (VTV), began yesterday in Male’, Maldives. The workshop is held at MBC’s broadcast facility in Male’. The two-day workshop is targeted at senior executives, decision makers and senior management staff in their respective Radio and TV broadcasting organization in Maldives.

The participants were presented the core elements of 21st century management and how it applies in this rapidly changing media environment. Not only to keep the pace of change, but also to face the challenge of creating new knowledge in a global marketplace. The core objective of this workshop is to create the mindset that decision making is the core of all managerial activities and to acquire the thinking process to make the best decision under conditions of Uncertainty, Ambiguity, Paradox and Chaos that is seen as the norm of 21st Century Management.

The workshop is attended by over 35 participants representing head of organizations and senior management staff including engineers. The expert, Mr Ajith Rohana Colonne from Sri Lanka, is a consultant and lecturer in Management and Business Economics with many years of experience in innovating and training on the concepts of 21st Century Management practice.
