RTR offers free live broadcast of Nasheed Night event

The Russian Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (RTR) is commemorating the first President of the Chechen Republic Akhmad Kadyrov by offering a free, live feed of its Nasheed Night event which will take place in Grozny on 15 May 2012.

The event will also showcase a light show and a recital by the renowned Imam of the Grand Mosque in Kuwait, Sheikh Mishary bin Rashid Alafasy. 

Nasheed is a religiously themed song, much like a song of praise which can be sung with or without musical instruments accompanying the performance.  Often background tone is derived from using numerous voices humming in tune.
