Eurosport acquires Euro2012 football rights

Sports broadcaster Eurosport will show all 31 games of the upcoming European Football Championship in Poland and the Ukraine from 8 June to 1 July 2012, time delayed.

The agreement has been reached with the European Football Association, but no financial details have been announced.

The contract covers the transmission in both standard and high definition (HDTV) on Eurosport and Eurosport 2 in 58 countries. As selected games will be repeated, the broadcaster will transmit a total of 230 hours from the tournament.
