RTM’s News Centre opened, News Portal and Digital Archives launched

Information, Communication and Culture Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim today officiated the opening of RTM’s newly built News Centre as well as the launch of its News Portal and Digital Archives. 

Located in Angkasapuri, Kuala Lumpur, the MYR 100 million building will be the icon for RTM as a major milestone in the field of broadcasting.

The building which is known as ‘Wisma Berita RTM’ will be the centre for news and current affairs. It will also be functioning as the central archives and administration for the employees of RTM

The construction of the six-storey building which started on the 28th Jan 2009, aims to provide adequate infrastructure for reporting.

It has 4 studios for TV News, 6 studios for its Radio News, 3 Radio Editing Rooms, and 10 NLE suites.
