KBS 3D animation Kioka winner of Shanghai TV Festival 2012

A young girl who creates her own solutions to everyday challenges has won the best animation award at the Shanghai TV Festival 2012.

‘Kioka’ is the central character of a 3D animation by KBS, aimed at children aged from three to five, and producer Mok Hoon said the award was a recognition of the animation’s unique efforts to illustrate children’s daily life from their eye level.

“She tends to create her own kind of solutions to challenges in everyday life,” he said.

The best animation award was presented at the Shanghai Culture Square in Shanghai, China, as part of the Shanghai TV Festival, an international TV festival that also includes forums and television markets.

A KBS drama, ‘Becoming a Popular song’, won the Grand Prix in the competition in 2005.
