Iran, Pakistan sign MOU to promote media cooperation

Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) signed a Memorandum of Understanding aiming to boost cooperation in media sector.

Mohammad Hossein Sufi, Vice President, IRIB and Ghulam Murtaza Solangi, Director General PBC signed the MOU in a simple but dignified ceremony at PBC headquarters, Islamabad, yesterday.

The Iranian delegation led by the IRIB Vice President, held talks with PBC officials on promoting media cooperation between the two countries.

According to the MOU, IRIB and PBC would run short-term training courses and exchange production teams. They have also decided to cooperate in technical areas.

Both organizations will exchange programs from their channels on the occasion of their national days and will invite each other to take part in festivals, conferences and other forums to be held in their respective countries.

Ghulam Murtaza Solangi, Director General of PBC said that he was confident that Mohammad Hossein Sufi would play a vital role for enhancing level of cooperation between Iran and Pakistan in the media sector.
