BBC Türkçe launches World Economy programme on CNBCe

The BBC’s Turkish-language service, BBC Türkçe, has launched a new TV programme, Dünya Ekonomisi (World Economy), which will be broadcast on Turkey’s business channel, CNBCe.

Five days a week, 13-minute Dünya Ekonomisi on CNBCe will bring viewers comment, analysis and debate on developments and issues related to the world economy, international business and finance.

BBC Türkçe Editor, Murat Nisancioglu, says:  “With the launch of Dünya Ekonomisi, we are enriching our offer for Turkish TV audiences who want to put events and developments in a wider, global context.  We hope that as Turkey’s economy is rapidly integrating with the global market, a programme such as Dünya Ekonomisi will be a welcome source of independent economic and financial expertise and reporting.”

CNBCe is the sister channel of the BBC’s long-standing partner in Turkey, NTV.

Dünya Ekonomisi also will be available for viewing via the website bbcturkce.com.
