CCTV and Sohu team up on mobile phone app

CCTV-2 (CCTV’s Finance Channel) officially launched its mobile phone application which it developed in cooperation with Sohu, a Chinese Internet company, cmmintelligence.com reports.

Sohu’s news application for mobile phone users will launch a channel called CCTV Finance (Yangshi Caijing) to its more than 34 million users.

The platform will act as both the collection of CCTV-2’s content and a tool for CCTV-2 to communicate with users.

On the first day of the launch, more than 160,000 mobile phone users subscribed to the channel. It has 6 columns including Financial Headlines, Financial Survey and Interactive Topic.
